VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (September 17, 2019) – Distracted driving become a growing issue on today’s roads. An average of nine people and 1,000 are injured each day because of distracted driving. It is the third leading cause of crash fatalities behind speeding and driving under the influence, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Yet, it is still socially acceptable to hold a cellphone. AAA’s campaign “Don’t Drive Intoxicated – Don’t Drive Intexticated” aims to change that.

Walk with AAA employees on September 22, 2019 and help stand with us against distracted driving.

The event will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Waterside District, Along Elizabeth River Trail
